Leadership

& Organizational Development

The need for strong leadership skills is not limited to six-figure-earning corporate executives in the corner office. These skills are also needed by parents, captains of sports teams, ministers, small business owners, and class presidents.

One's leadership style and practice is a primary factor in the efficacy of any group. Whether you're captaining your middle-school soccer teammates, pastoring a church of twenty people, organizing non-profit volunteers, or hiring a staff for the first time at your small business... I would love to come alongside you and offer affordable support as you inspire the passion and productivity of those around you.

Whether or not you're confident in your leadership skills and style, your organization and its systems may feel slow, cluttered, menial, and nonsensical. If that's the case, I would also be honored to help you streamline workflow and restore a sense of peace and joy within your organization.

My Experience

I co-led a non-profit organization consisting of 150 - 300 members for more than a decade. Notably, this time included the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown and emergence from it; a chaotic and stormy event which our organization survived. Within that organization, I was the primary leader for several teams (the largest of which included 40 people) staffed solely by volunteers.

Additionally, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Leadership & Organizational studies from the University of Southern Maine in 2019. With this degree, I received a minor in computer science that has proven a formidable asset to my organizational development efforts.

Lastly, I have the overwhelming fortune of having grown up in a family that promoted and practiced powerful servant leadership in vocational and personal life. Because of this, I possess the instincts to not only lead well, but honor, cherish, and serve those I lead.

Reviews about my leadership practice and style:

"Caleb is one of the most authentic and personable employees I’ve worked with in my career. He has the ability and capacity to do multiple things well and has the wisdom to discern what is most important in work and life. He is able to create and cast vision and has the work ethic and efficiency to implement that vision. I would highly recommend Caleb to anyone wanting a great employee or colleague."

"Caleb is hard working, faithful, and trustworthy. His character is true and honest and he never gives up at whatever he tries. He is reliable, he is transparent and I would recommend him to anybody for anything. He is a quick study and works well with others. He strives for excellence in all he does. He would be an asset wherever he goes."

"Caleb is a highly skilled and driven-for-excellence worker with strong people skills. He also is a good manager of people and teams and seeks to help achieve team or organization goals."

Leadership Philosophy

Leadership is a commitment to the "health of the whole." My philosophy is rooted in the belief that an organization is a living system—one that requires empathetic leaders who are ready to serve and practice radical curiosity.

The basics of my leadership philosophy can be summed up in three core pillars:

Curious Stewardship

I view leadership as stewardship of people and their mission, rather than the possession of them. By decoupling ego from the organization’s identity, leaders can create space for collaborative innovation without fear of deviation. Powerful leaders remain unwavering in their missional "why," but stay perpetually curious and agile in the "how."

With-ness

True leadership is the practice of meeting needs with people rather than for them. Leaders need tools, empathy, and systems-level understanding that allows those around them to thrive together. Transparency and pattern recognition are a priority—honoring the dignity of the individual while maintaining the integrity of the collective.

Person-Centered Systems

Many leadership and organizational traditions value the process over the person. A key element of my philosophy is turning this framework on its head without losing organizational efficacy. There are three primary ways that leaders can put the focus back on one's humanness:

Interpersonal & Task-Based Efficacy

Valuing organizational contribution and workflow over arbitrary time-on-the-clock.

Consultation & Referral

Knowing when to refer to outside specialists to maintain an individual's wellbeing.

Trust & Collaboration.

Earning trust through consistent, genuine presence.Being willing to truly listen to someone regardless of their position.Digging beneath the surface of traditions, conflicts, and processes to discover meaning.

Why This Matters.

If you're seeking my consultation services, you should be aware of my philosophy. This transparency is crucial if our work together is going to be effective.

That said, my job is not to conform you to my philosophy or practice. Rather, it is to help you discover the leadership potential that already lies within you. It is to help offer you different frames of reference in order to discover which one best suits your context.

Services & Pricing

Initial Consultation (30min): FREE

This initial consultation can include up to 4 people from your organization.

There is a +$20 fee for every additional person after 4.

Individual Consultation Sessions: $60/hr

This is a meeting between you and me where we explore your personal, interpersonal, and organizational context. Through that exploration we will discover what's working and what's not. For the ineffective bits of your siutation, we'll collaborate and strategize about how to best move forward.

Group Consultation Sessions: $100/hr

This is a meeting between your team and me. This is less about diving into each person's individual context. Rather, we brainstorm together to broaden our scope as well as how to implement the new, promising perspectives that arise.

Group consultation is limited to 7 people (not including me).

+$25/hr fee for every additional person after 7.

Bear in mind that groups with more than 7 members can struggle
to maintain productivity in discussion (Blenko et al., 2010).

Leadership & Organizational Development Presentation: $150/hr

I am happy to provide less (albeit still somewhat) interactive services in the form of a presentation to your organization that introduces leadership and development themes based on my aforementioned philosophy.

Presentations can be 1 - 4 hours long depending on your needs.
